Social Media Gaint Facebook is asking it’s Australian users to send their own nude photos,for it’s Fight on Revenge Porn on Facebook Platform.

Facebook is piloting the technology in Australia in partnership with a government agency named “esafety” .The Project is intended to prevent intimate images of users from appearing against their will on the social network’s platform.

A Story on CNBC has stated that users worried an inappropriate image might appear on Facebook’s platforms are asked to send an intimate image via Messenger, a preventive measure designed to flag the images before they’re shared.

A Note by e-Safety has said that “Adult Australians concerned that an intimate image may be shared online can complete an online form on the eSafety Commissioner’s official website detailing their concerns.

Users will be asked to send the imagery to themselves on Messenger while the eSafety Commissioner’s office notifies Facebook of their submission.

Once Facebook receive this notification, its community operations team will use image matching technology to prevent any instances of the image being uploaded or shared online.”

Other than Australia The limited pilot program is available in three other countries: the U.S., U.K., and Canada.A Facebook spokeswoman said the company was exploring additional partners and countries.
